ENHYPEN Wiki

Sooha(수하) is one of the main female characters of Dark Moon: The Blood Altar. She is a human with special powers in the tenth grade at Decelis Academy.

Personality & Background[]

Sooha is a character who is honest and expressive with her feelings. She cares a lot about the people around her, and is always ready to protect them. She is open about how she feels and can stand up for what she thinks is right, although at times she can be a little naive and gullible.

Sooha holds a very strong hatred towards vampires because of her ability of superhuman strength she was mysteriously born with, leading her to be constantly mistaken as a vampire and in consequence repeatedly had to move to different cities. Also, a vampire killed her only friend, Chris, when she was very young.

Sooha transfers to the prestigious Decelis Academy in the town of Riverfield, which is known for having a strict policy against vampires. Sooha transfers there believing that by being a student in a school with such a policy, she will never be mistaken for a vampire ever again, let alone come face-to-face with one within its walls (or so she thought...)

Additionally, one of the reasons Sooha enrolls into Decelis is to gain access to their famously extensive library, in the hopes to find an answer on how to destroy the vampire kind once and for all in order to avenge Chris' death.

It is later revealed that she is in fact, the reincarnation of Selen, a princess of an Ancient Kingdom who was known for possessing special and powerful magic.

Sooha is considered to be a very cute and beautiful girl. She has waist-length dark brown, almost black hair with a streak of pink, and bangs. She has big pink eyes and a fair complexion with rosy cheeks. She stands at an average build and height but is noticeably shorter than her male peers.

Sooha is mostly seen in her school uniform which consists of a white long-sleeved collar shirt, a navy blue blazer with the Decelis Academy insignia on it, a blue and red bow tied around her neck and a dark grey skirt.

When she is not wearing her uniform, she is seen in casual clothing like t-shirts, tops and shorts.

Relationships[]

Heli[]

"I'd hate to lose your trust more than anything."

-Heli to Sooha, Dark Moon: The Blood Altar Ep. 23: "Again, Just a Little Bit More"

Sooha immediately encounters Heli upon arriving at Decelis Academy. In the Webtoon, she meets him while she is moving into her dorm, and in the webnovel, she meets him during nightball practice.

Since Heli has a kind and friendly attitude, he and Sooha become close friends very quickly, notably sharing similar interests such as reading. Upon learning of Sooha’s hatred towards vampires, and during any occassion she expresses her hatred towards them, Heli tends to appear distraught, being one himself. Because of this, Heli keeps his vampire identity a secret from Sooha. He introduces Sooha to his friend group, who also happen to secretly be vampires, and they also quickly get along with her (except Solon, who is rather distant).

Alongside the fact that he is a very compassionate friend, Heli feels the utmost need to protect Sooha from all harm, weather it be from a smaller threat such as a flying nightball coming their way, or a more dangerous threat such as a vampire or werewolf. Heli describes his connection with Sooha as "something similar, yet different" to connections he feels with other vampires, even his vampire friends at Decelis, and they all agree that there must be a mysterious, supernatural reason they all feel such a connection towards Mia.

Jaan[]

"Don't sweat it, Sooha. We'll win again, like we always did. And I'll dedicate our victory to you."

In the episode titled "The Powerfulz" of the Dark Moon: The Blood Altar Cutoon webcomic miniseries, Jaan and Sooha compete against each other in an arcade punching bag game to try and get a higher strength score than the other

Although not much focus has been placed on the relationship between Sooha and Jaan, the two initially connect through Heli's introducing and are friendly with one another.

Jaan is impressed by Sooha’s ability, as his own ability is exceptional superhuman strength. The pair are referred to as the "Powerfulz" in the Dark Moon: The Blood Altar Cutoon comic miniseries, in which they compliment each other's abilities and call one another "cool". In the Cutoon, Jaan states how he "was the only powerful character around" before meeting Sooha, inferring that he sees Sooha as someone powerful as well.

Despite Jaan initially siding with Solon's opinion keep distance from humans like Sooha out of safety, he quickly switches sides upon meeting her and feeling the connection Heli described, much to Solon's dismay.

Jino[]

"Shion's a bit of a troublemaker, so you should keep your distance. How about you and I become friends instead?"

While Jino and Sooha’s relationship hasn't been emphasized much, either, as a member of Heli's friend group Jino introduces himself in a friendly manner and he gets along well with Sooha.

Jino is shown to enjoy Sooha’s company and is respectful of her opinions even if he may not agree, such as when Sooha expresses her preference towards werewolves than vampires and he tells the other boys to be less mean when they disagree and start insulting werewolves (despite despising them himself). He is also one of the boys in the group to not try and impress her to a degree, such as when the other boys (excluding Jakah) try to do so by pretending to enjoy her hobby of reading and admits "no one ever reads other than Heli". Like the other boys, he feels a mysterious connection towards Sooha.

Solon[]

"Don't get the wrong idea. When I said you shouldn't hang out with us, it's not because I hate you."

Solon's relationship with Sooha is indeed a unique one. While the entire group of vampire boys have gone through an array of hardships over the years, fleeing from threats and and leaving behind many people they cared about which has caused them pain, it seems to have impacted Solon the most. In addition to his ability he keeps a secret from even his friends, these experiences have caused him great frustration and leads his personality to come off as more pessimistic. Solon chooses to distance himself from the humans and abstains from establishing any kind of friendship with one, including Sooha. Despite encouraging his friends to stay away from Sooha, they don't abide by his wishes and leave Solon with no other choice than to allow Mia to hang out with their group.

Solon acts cold towards Sooha, despite the latter wanting to get along with him and become friends. While he may pretend to pay no mind to her, deep down Solon indeed cares for her well-being and ensures her safety. For instance, he pulls her backwards when a nightball comes flying at her (despite claiming to just be "wiping the dust off her jacket" when she thanks him), scolds Shion for leaving Mia alone in an unfamiliar place allowing dangerous vampires to attack her, and is rage-driven upon seeing Sooha hurt and knocked out, causing him to activate his secret ability in order to protect her despite claiming it was out of annoyance towards the enemy's tactics. He trusts Sooha with his secret, and continues to work with Heli and the rest of his friends to keep her safe and figure out exactly why she's being sought after by the evil vampires. He doesn't understand why, but like the other boys, Solon also feels a mysterious connection towards Sooha.

"Mia! Do you want to hang out with me this weekend?"

-Shion to Sooh, Dark Moon: The Blood Altar Ep. 9: "Stay Away from Sooha"

As Shion is known for being a troublemaker and refuses to abide by rules, he immediately welcomes Sooha into the group without hesitation. He is in the tenth grade, the same grade as Sooha, so it can be inferred that Sooha spends more time around Shion than the other boys as she shares similar classes with Shion. Thanks to Shion's sociable personality, he quickly establishes a close friendship with Mia and invites her to spend time with him even outside of school hours.

Shion tends to try and impress Sooha every chance he gets, from excitedly running to her after scoring a point in nightball, pretending to be interested in sophisticated topics such as quantum physics, to sharing her hobby of reading (although denied by Jino), and enjoying the task of cleaning (which he actually finds tiring).

While he may come off as cute, clumsy and bubbly most of the time, Shion doesn't hesitate to show his tougher side in order to protect his friends, including Sooha, such as when he saved her from a vampire while at Decelis Square. He also encourages Sooha to confide in him when things get difficult, admitting that he had to go through an adequate amount of struggles throughout life like her, much to Sooha’s disbelief. Like the other boys, he feels a mysterious connection towards Sooha.

Jakah[]

"Noa and I were walking back after nightball practice when I felt an unusually strong wave. That girl, Mia, was in the center of it. It was such an overwhelming wave that I have never felt before."

-Jakah to Heli, Dark Moon: The Blood Altar Ep. 8: "Who in the World Are You?"

Jakah is overwhelmed by Sooha's strong waves

Jakah is overwhelmed by Sooha's strong waves

Not much can be said about the friendship between Jakah and Sooha, but the two do get along well.

Like Solon, Jakah is hesitant to forge friendships with humans, and scolds his friends for showing Sooha their unique abilities so rashly out of fear of exposing their true identities. However, he eventually chooses to allow Sooha hangs out with the group out of curiosity. In the Dark Moon: The Blood Altar Cutoon miniseries, Jakah is initally suspicious of Sooha and believes that she may be some sort of villian for the other vampire boys to open up so easily, but he eventually doubted this notion as she appeared to friendly and cheerful.

Compared to the other vampire boys, Jakah is more hypersensitive to detecting waves of vampiric energy, allowing him to detect the presence of other vampires that might be around. He detects rather strong waves from Mia, and although he deduces that she is definitely not a vampire, he also points out that "she's definitely not an ordinary human". Like the other boys, he feels a mysterious connection towards Sooha.

Noa[]

"Who are you? Why are you after Mia?"

-Noa to Chris, Dark Moon: The Blood Altar Ep. 19: "Where the Truth Points to"

While Noa and Sooha’s friendship is the least emphasized in the whole series, that doesn't change the fact that they do consider each other friends, and is willing to join his friends in order to protect Sooha from harm. Like the other boys, he feels a mysterious connection towards Sooha.
