ENGENE is the official fandom name for the South Korean boy group ENHYPEN. The name was announced on October 9th, 2020.
History[]
From September 20th - 24th, 2020, ENHYPEN took suggestions from fans for what the official fan club name should be. Originally there was speculaiton that the name would be "Eggies". The logo was revealed on February 6th, 2021 at the first EN-CONNECT performance.
Etymology[]
Because of the pronunciation of the word "ENGENE" the first thing it means is that, "[our] fans are like 'engines' that let [us] grow and keep going."[1] The second meaning is that the fans are "ENHYPEN's 'gene'" and that "[you] and ENHYPEN share the same DNA to connect, discover, and grow together."[2]
